Your business cards represent you and your business. Not only should they accompany every sale, but you should hand them out whenever you talk about your business. This way when people come across your card a month or two later in their purse or wallet they will have your phone number and your address to contact you.

I know with my tea catering business I wanted a special card so I went to a friend of mine and he designed a beautiful folded card for me. It was great, but it cost me $650 to have it done and his service was half price!!

Depending on what you order and how many your order, you can get a good supply of full color business cards for a much lower price than you can from a local printer. This is extremely important if you are catering teas or doing in-home parties where your business card is your business. You cannot print business cards at home on your inkjet printer for less. I still find that if I only order 250 at a time, I can change them as my business evolves and don't have too much waste. Remember, you still have to buy the card stock and ink cartridges to print your own.

The important elements to include on your business cards include:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Website URL
• Your e-mail address
• Address if you want them to have you physical address
• Your logo or a picture of your business

Make your layout easy to read and easy to understand. Don't clutter your business card with too much information. Make it easy to read and easy to understand. If you have lots of information, consider printing on both sides of your card.
