EQUIPMENT FOR CATERING TEA PARTIES

Here is a list of the equipment you will need to start your tea party catering business. Before you start there are some decisions you need to make.

When I catered tea parties I took all the equipment needed for the party. The only things the hostess had to provide were napkins, water goblets, butter knives, and teaspoons. I told the hostess that a centerpiece would not be needed because the three-tiered servers I used would sit in the center of the table and there would not be room for anything else.

You need to decide if you want to take china cups and saucers and dessert plates or have you hostess furnish them. I found that most people do not have tea china so I catered it for them. You need to decide what else your hostess needs to furnish--creamer and sugar, sugar cubes, milk for tea, honey, artificial sweetner, napkins, etc. You have to decide what you want to cater and what you want them to supply. The more equipment you are willing to take, the more you should charge per person.

The stared items are not necessary, but they sure made catering easier.
